Zara Torosyan Joins Ladder Down as Class of 2017

Started as a grassroots effort, “Ladder Down” has become the premier business development/leadership program for women attorneys in the Phoenix area with more than 100 program graduates. The Ladder Down program is comprised of accountability sessions and individualized coaching. The principles of Ladder Down benefit women in all practice areas, including government attorneys and in-house counsel. The program’s primary objective is to develop leadership skills and self-determination in order to help women lawyers advance in their careers.

Ladder Down is a unique year-long program geared toward empowering women lawyers and provides faculty-lead instruction on leadership, business development, and mentoring. Classes are limited to 24 lawyers per year and the program was recently adopted by the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel. Every Ladder Down class is comprised of women from a diverse range of practice areas, experience levels, and talents that all share a common goal: changing their careers and the legal profession for the better. The feedback on the program has been extremely positive and participants report increased client relationships, improved self-confidence, promotions to partnership, greater community involvement, more frequent opportunities for speaking and publishing, and an enhanced referral network.
