I grew up in Northern Arizona and moved to Phoenix in 2001 (after law school in Washington state) to begin my legal career. My wife Liz and I have three children: Natalie, Olivia and Dean. We love to travel -- especially to the mountains for fishing, hiking and skiing. We also enjoy trips to the beaches in North Carolina, Hawaii and California. Fly fishing has been a hobby of mine for several years and I think the rivers in Montana, Idaho, Utah and Colorado are about the most beautiful and peaceful places on earth. I enjoy studying history, particularly the Civil War, World War I and World War II. Sports were always a big part of my life (or past life) and I still try to play basketball, golf and tennis. I dedicate some of my free time to coaching my son and daughter’s football and basketball teams in youth sports.
